Never Heard of 'Em: Austin's Music Explosion

My husband, Mike, and I opened a record store  named “Local Flavor” in 1994 devoted to independent, unknown, Austin bands. We started incredibly small – darn near microscopic – and grew and grew until we housed over 1000 titles from LOCAL artists.

I wrote columns for magazines in three countries…for five years…of the news from Austin’s exploding scene. Mike took hundreds of photos. In the pre-internet world, love and laughter were the only network any of us needed.
